It started with a lawn care business.
When Rhys Marshall started his lawn care business and grew it to 25 properties, he needed a straightforward way to schedule work and organise customers. Paying around $100 a month for a larger CRM, primarily to use its scheduling tools, didn’t feel right for his growing business.
Rhys was working in the field then, and he still is today—mowing, trimming, mulching and looking after customers’ properties. His main goal was to spend as much time as possible doing the paid work that brought revenue into the business.
Scheduling, paperwork and other admin tasks took time away from that work. He wanted to reduce those unpaid hours and make the day-to-day running of the business quicker and simpler.
So he started building RWM OPS—drawing on the challenges he faced each day, from recurring visits and crew allocation to tracking completed work. The aim was to automate as much admin as possible and make routine tasks simple enough to complete in one or two clicks.
His goal remains the same: less paperwork to handle himself, more time in the field, and practical, affordable software for startups and small businesses that can grow alongside them.
THE IDEA BEHIND OPS
Practical tools for the working day.
That contractor experience continues to shape the platform: keeping customers, jobs, teams and invoices together, so the next step is easier to find.
